Municipers Guide

What is it?

Municiper's Guide (MUN eh sip er) is basically a "magic for dummies" sort of series. Often used by people like Katrina (who know very little about Bestia). Also, these books are used to help teach young students in schools. The Municiper's Guides have made a LOT of money and are extremely popular. Municiper is, of course, the author, but is currently senile, so will no longer be countinuing his series.

There are hundreds of these guides. There are books about creatures on bestia, plantlife on bestia, demons, potions, spells. They are very helpful, and below are some little segments from these books. Enjoy!

~Municiper's Guide to Everything Magical~
Book number #266- A-Z Creatures

Moxes

Moxes are generally gentle creatures, unless their young are threatened. There are three kinds of Moxes (Mairy mox, bunder mox, and the aquariro mox). They have different behaviors and their looks are quite different, but they all share the same, long rodent-like face and long, floppy rabbit ears.

Mairy Moxes

Mairy moxes are fairly rare. They are usually found on the edges of forests in trees. Mairy moxes prefer to live as far away from people as possible and are very shy. They have large, butterfly like wings and fox-like tails. They have whiskers like a rabbit and are about the size of a large cat, though the males are slightly larger. The females are covered in pink and purple fur, and have a dark blue tip on their tail. They are extremely intelligent and have the ability to write words in the air by using their tail. In fact, many companies use female mairy moxes as messengers. The males are not quite as intelligent. They have magnificent dark blue fur, which is used in many spells. Their wings are a slightly darker blue than the fur and are tougher than the females, which are delicate and easy to tear. Their tail cannot be used to write messages, but can poison enemies via the tip of the tail. This toxin, which is also used in spells, makes the predator unable to fly. They are more violent than the females (they have to be to fend predators off of their young) so they are rarely tamed. Mairy moxes can be kept but the owner has to undergo strict tests to make sure the creature is in good hands. Mairy moxes love anything sweet, especially the females. Their favorite food is sugar bushes, which are pretty rare today due to our harvest of their delectable leaves.

Book number #315- The many languages of Bestia

Bestian

Bestian is the common name for the main launguage in Bestia. When the original name of the launguage (which is very long and hard to pronounce) was changed in 1799 many people complained because it was so simple and unimaginative. "Bestian" is very easy to remember, however, and the name stuck. Most witches and wizards today use parts of it along with english, french, greek, and the many other launguages of the three human worlds. In fact, very few people that live in the more populated areas of Bestia speak the launguage without mixing it with others. This book is mainly a translation guide from Bestian to English.

Curse Words and Insults

Patine(Pat E n): The curse word for b*tch or b*tchy. Usually used to describe a person, but the phrase, "patine pixie whore" is fairly popular today. This phrase is actually refering to nymph or harpy prositutes (there is no such thing as a pixie prostitute for humans) but it is unknown as to why the phrase uses "Pixie" instead of "Nympth" (which is a whole different creature). There is slight controversy, but since it is a very small oddity in the language (and it is a sort of slang statement), no studies have been conducted.

Norram (No ram): The curse word for "dang" or "dang it". It can also be used in place of "the F word" (but is not as bad as the actual "f word").

Nane(Neigh n): A curse word meaning jerk, or donkey.

Paré (Par eh): A polite word for dofus or dork. Usually used in a friendly and/ or joking context.

Nequam (Neck wa m): A common (and non offensive) name for any creature or item that is incapable of performing magic. The latin word for powerless.
